Mr. Harry J. LaFever, Jr., 82, of Decatur passed away on Friday November 2, 2012. Born in Jeffersonville, Indiana and raised in Louisville, Kentucky he was the son of Coletta Brock LaFever and Harry J. LaFever. He was preceded in death by his wife of fifty years Genevieve Berry LaFever, and is survived by sons and daughters-in-law; Harry LaFever, III, Charles and Carolyn LaFever; daughters and son-in law; Linda LaFever, Theresa and Mark Rutledge; sister and brother in law, Chris and Glen Eggen. Daughter in law, Laurie LaFever; eight grandchildren; Chris and Rhonda Limbaugh, Angela Cain Pfeffer and husband, Dirk, Heather Barnett, Christopher LaFever, Jennifer LaFever, Joshua LaFever, C. J. LaFever and Hannnah Nash. Great grandchildren, Brendon Cain, Catherine Cain, Casey Pfeffer, Troy Barnett, Bryne Barnett, Sheyanne Barnett, Angela and Diego Manuel and Tyna Seay. Great-great-grandchildren, Diego and Tinsley, and several nieces and nephews. He was retired from the Atlanta Journal and Constitution after 38 years of service as a Pressroom Foreman. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather who loved golfing, boating and dancing. The funeral mass will be 10:00 am Monday, November 5th, 2012 at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, where he was an avid member with Fr. Brian Lorei celebrant. Interment will follow at Floral Hills Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 6:00 to 8:00 pm and Sunday from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at A. S. Turner and Sons Funeral Home and Crematory
