Harry Pirkle Johnson

Harry Pirkle Johnson, 87, of Atlanta, died Saturday, March 16, 2013. An Atlanta native, Mr. Johnson was born December 13, 1925 to the late Harry and Marion Pirkle Johnson. He graduated from Georgia Tech with a bachelor's degree and retired from Georgia Power where he worked as an electrical engineer. Mr. Johnson served in the Navy during WWII. He loved walking the trails at Stone Mountain, gardening and bike riding. He is survived by his special friend, Martha Lowry Quargnenti; sister and brother-in-law Joanne and Al Shealy; niece, Barbara (John) Kalina and nephew, John Shealy. A memorial service will be held 11:00 am, Wednesday, March 20, 2013 at the chapel of A.S. Turner and Sons Funeral Home with Reverend Phillip Nall officiating. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 10:00 am until the time of the service at the funeral home. A.S. Turner and Sons, Decatur, GA.
