Harry R. Palma, age 85, of Tucker, died at Peachtree Christian Hospice Center on Thursday, February 4, 2010 of natural causes. He was born March 10, 1924 in Columbus Ohio to the late Michael and Archangelina Palma. Harry served in the U.S. Navy, during World War II, in the Pacific Theatre. Mr. Palma graduated from The Ohio State University with a Bachelors degree in Fine Arts. He was a Graphic Arts Director for the Princeton Packaging Company and retired after 30 years of service. Art was his passionate hobby, and he created numerous traditional landscape watercolors. His children and grandchildren are fortunate to possess many of his talented portraits. He was also an avid fly fisherman frequently enjoying the mountain streams of North Georgia. Harry is survived by his wife, Helen(Peggy), his three sons and their wives, Harry and Patsy, Michael and Stefanie, Patrick and Cindi, ten grandchildren, Laura Horne, Harry A. Palma, Michelle Palma, Kindrea Becker, Amanda Parkerson, Michael C. Palma, Angela Palma, Cassandra Palma, Christine Palma and Emily Rogers. He is further survived by great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Funeral services for Harry R. Palma will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, February 13, at A.S. Turner & Sons, 2773 North Decatur Rd. The Rev. Perry Miller will officiate. Prior to the service, at 12:00 p.m. relatives and friends are welcome to visit until the service begins.
