Hazel Thompson Wood

Mrs. Hazel T. Wood, 88, of Atlanta, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother was carried home in the arms of the angels to Jesus on Wednesday, May 26, 2010.  She was a longtime member of Calvary Baptist Church.  Mrs. Wood was preceded in death by her husband Frank E. Wood, son, Mickey G. Wood and grandson, Jack S. Wood.  She is survived by her sons, Paul S. Wood, Frank J. Wood and his wife Angelia, M. Wayne Wood and his wife Vallorie; daughters, Delores Wood, Judy Wood Rajner and her husband John, and Snow Sylvia Wood; sister, Essie Ruth Ferguson; grandchildren, Jerry, Katrina, Alena, Dina, Elizabeth, Nancy, Alexandria, April, Johnathan, Apollo, Jeremiah, Emily Lorie, Robert, Starlett, Michael, Ryan and Christopher; and numerous great grandchildren.  Funeral services will be held Friday, May 28 in the chapel of A. S. Turner & Sons. Interment Crest Lawn Memorial Park.  The family will receive friends from 12 Noon until 2:00 P.M. Friday at A. S. Turner & Sons.
