Helen Burke Trentadue of Avondale Estates passed away at home Tuesday December 29, 2009 at age 87, following a loving Christmas surrounded by her family. She was born September 2, 1922 in Elbert, West Virginia to Carl and Josephine Burke. On March 7, 1944, she married Lt. Joseph H. Trentadue, who predeceased her in 1987. A loving mother and grandmother and an avid bridge player, Helen touched many lives during her years of service to the Gwinnett Council for Seniors, HiCare and the Center for the Visually Impaired. She is remembered for her independence, curiosity, sociability and compassion. Helen is survived by her daughter, Tracy J. Trentadue; son-in-law, James P. Monacell; and grandchildren, Lauren Timmons, Helen Gallen and James Trentadue Monacell. A memorial service in January will be announced.
