Helen Florence Ellington

Helen Wyckoff Ellington, age 91, of Decatur passed away peacefully at her home after a long illness on, January 9, 2014. She was a loving mother and grandmother. Mom had a wonderful sense of humor and was a passionate caregiver who loved to play canasta. Mom we will miss you always! Helen was a member of Oak Grove United Methodist Church and retired as a school secretary from Capital View Elementary School. She is survived by daughter, Carolyn and Alan Bly; son, George Allen Ellington; grandsons; Kyle and Mary Beth Bly, Michael Bly; brother, Herbert and Rose Wyckoff; great-grandson - John Bly; and several nieces and nephews. Graveside Services will be held Wednesday January 15, 2014 at 1:00 pm at Floral Hills Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers contributions may be sent to Oak Grove United Methodist Church 1722 Oak Grove Road Decatur,GA 30033. The family will receive friends Tuesday, January 14, 2014 2:00 pm - 6:00 pm and Wednesday, January 15, 2014 10:00 am - 12:00 pm at A. S. Turner and Sons Funeral Home and Crematory.
