Helen Janoulis Poulos passed away peacefully on April 19, 2008. Born in Philadelphia, PA on April 18, 1910, she was the second child of eleven born to Nick and Themis Janoulis of Samos, Greece. Her life was one of service and supreme sacrifice to her family and her Greek Orthodox Christian faith. She was predeceased by her husband of 46 years, Nick John Poulos, of Tripoli, Greece; her eldest daughter, Basiliki ?Betty? Andris; and her son-in-law, Lt. General Louis W. Truman. Her survivors include three daughters and three sons-in-law: Themis Cissy and Ted Lamas; Sophia and Edward Staros; Stavros Harry Andris; and Anastasia Tassie? Truman. Other survivors include ten adoring grandchildren; six great-grandchildren, four sisters and many devoted cousins, nieces, nephews and loving friends. Funeral Services will be held at the Greek Orthodox Cathedral of the Annunciation on Clairmont Road at 12 Noon on Tuesday, April 22, 2008 with interment at Greenwood Cemetery. Rev. George A. Alexons, Dean will officiate. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Greek Orthodox Cathedral of the Annunciation. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m., Monday, April 21, 2008 followed by a prayer service beginning at 6:00 p.m. in the chapel at A.S.
