Mrs. Helen L. Gibson died Friday, May 14, 2010. She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Jack L. Gibson who died April 27, 1998. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, James M. and Diane Newsome Gibson; daughter and son-in-law, Virginia G. and Dale F. Cannon; grandchildren, Heather M. Cossar and her husband, Dr. J. Harper Cossar, II, Jeff M. Gibson, Dr. Bryan K. Ford, Michael J. Ford, Esq. and his wife, Teshia M. Ford, Elisabeth H. Bottom and her husband, James A. Bottom, Kimberly C. Wheeler and her husband, W. Alan Wheeler and David G. Cannon and his wife, Pamela B. Cannon; and sixteen great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, May 22, 2010 at the Chapel of A. S. Turner & Sons with Rev. Price Walls officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at the funeral home. A luncheon will be held at the funeral home following the service. Interment will be in Macon Memorial Park, 3969 Mercer University Drive, Macon, GA 31204-4894, telephone 478-474-3838 at 4:00 PM Saturday.
