Helen Snowden Mcdonald

Mrs. Helen Louise McDonald of Decatur passed away on Friday, September 18, 2009.  She was ninety years old.  Helen was born in Washington, D.C. Oct. 7, 1918.  She was a long-time member of Oak Grove United Methodist Church.  She had been married to her beloved husband Mac for 50 years.  Helen was a caring and selfless wife and mother.  She leaves behind two daughters, Carol Lucas and Claudia Earnest; her sister, Jean Turner; five grandchildren, Brian Lucas, Amanda Darr, Troy Earnest, Anita Lucas, Carrie Tabb; and three great grandchildren, Morgan Tabb, Madeline Darr and Melanie Darr; sons-in-law, Dave Lucas and Tommy Earnest.  Funeral services will be held Tuesday, September 22, 2009 at 11:00 A.M. in the chapel of A. S. Tuner & Sons with Dr. Gil Watson officiating.  Interment, Arlington Memorial Park.  The family will receive friends Monday from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at A. S. Turner & Sons.
