Helen V. Whatley

Mrs. Helen V. Whatley, 86, of Ocala, FL, formerly of Decatur died Friday, July 29, 2005.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerome S. Whatley.  Mrs. Whatley was a member of the First Baptist Church in Ocala.  She was a talented piano and organ player.  She played the organ for the Druid Hills Baptist Church in Georgia, as well as teaching their Sunday School class and counseling their single parent class.  Mrs. Whatley was also an avid reader.  She is survived by her two sons, Robert ?Bobby? Burke of Ocala, FL, and James M. Burke of Elkridge, MD; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.  Graveside services will be held at 12:00 Noon Tuesday, August 2, 2005 at Floral Hills Memory Gardens with Dr. J. Hoffman Harris officiating.  The family will receive friends starting at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday at A. S. Turner & Sons.
