Hemant was one of a kind! Irreverent, gregarious, a rock of a friend, an ever-ready volunteer, witty, intelligent and a lot more. If wealth is measured in terms of friendships, he was one of the richest persons around. An impassioned conversationalist, he had an informed say on just about everything.
Hemant was always up to something good! From helping raise funds for someone’s medical procedure or a bone marrow drive, to helping friends move or take care of their houses and mail in their absence—he gave freely of his time.
He was a committed volunteer at Isha foundation, an ardent devotee of Linga Bhairavi Devi.
Hemant passed away from a massive cardiac arrest, after a few days in ICU at Piedmont Hospital.
Message from the family: “He was our family’s heart, brain and humor wrapped in one. He had a heart of gold. All of you have likely experienced his selflessness, which was matched only by his humor and wit. His intelligence and innovative spirit surpassed it all. We are at a loss without him. Please keep him in your prayers.”
