Henry Parks Harris, Jr.

July 3, 1923 — February 14, 2008

Mr. Henry Parks Harris, Jr., age 84, of Atlanta died Wednesday, February 13, 2008. Born in Ocoee, Florida, and raised in Chattanooga, TN, Parks was a proud veteran of WWII, a 33rd degree Mason and the former Grand Master of the Grand Lodge of Georgia. He retired from The Ivan Allen Company after 30 years as the facilities director. Parks loved to travel, most notably with his family to Florida and the Great Smoky Mountains. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 60 years Eunice Harris, parents Mattie Brown Harris and Henry Parks Harris, Sr., sisters Maudie Stoker, Mable Williams, and Myrtle Mulkey. Parks is survived by his loving daughter and son-in-law Elaine and John Mauney, son and daughter-in-law Ron and Pam Harris, grandson Philip Mauney, granddaughter and husband Michelle and Nick Baughman, granddaughters Maggie Harris and Dixie Harris. The family will receive friends from 6:30-8:30 P.M. Friday, February 15th, with Trasagion Prayers at 7:30 P.M. at St. Elias Antiochian Orthodox Church. The funeral will follow on Saturday, February 16th at the church at 11 A.M. officiated by The Right Reverend Archimandrite Michael (Evans).
