Mr. Henry T. (Tom) Chewning, Jr., age 72, of McDonough, GA died at home surrounded by his loving family on October 24, 2008. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Phyllis; daughter, June Blanchard; daughters and sons-in-law, Sheila and John Sapp, Janet and Richard Smith, Jennifer and Rene Engeron; grandchildren, Darrell, Ryan and Alex Blanchard, Jessica and Brooke Sapp, Andrew Wallace, Chipper and Jodie Smith; brother, Buzzy Chewning; sisters, Carole Ridling and Janice Chewning; and lots of nieces, nephews, and cousins. Funeral services will be held Monday, October 27th at 11 o’clock in the chapel of A. S. Turner & Sons with Pastor Bobby Linkous officiating. Interment Melwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4 o’clock until 6 o’clock Sunday evening at A. S. Turner & Sons.
