Hilda Garwood

A gathering of friends and family will be held at A. S. Turner & Sons Funeral Home on Sunday, February 11, 2007 from 3 - 5 p.m. for Josephine Pendleton Garwood who died Saturday, February 10, 2007. A memorial service will be held on February 13, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. at McLane Funeral Services and burial following at Sunset Hill Cemetery in Valdosta, GA. Josephine was born in Valdosta on February 19, 1947. After graduating from Valdosta High School in 1965, she attended 2 years of college. In 1970, she became a flight attendant with Delta Air Lines. In 1972, she married Michael Saunders Garwood. They have lived and worked in Atlanta since 1980 and both have recently retired, Mike from Southern Co. and Josephine after 32 years with Delta Airlines. Survivors include husband, Michael S. Garwood; step-son, Michael S. Garwood, Jr.; sister, Sue Rodes; brother, Alan Pendleton (Linda); niece, Amber Cornelius; nephew, Keith Cornelius (Ginger); niece, Dana Jack (Jim), niece, Michele Mitchell; niece Rebecca Guzman; nephew, Mark Barton (Touria); niece, Crystal Pendleton; niece, Lacy Hatfield; and many great nieces and nephews.
