Hildria Grace Beckham

Hildria Grace Beckham, 89, of Tucker, Georgia, passed away on Wednesday, June 18, 2014. Hildria was born in Wicksburg, Alabama to the late James Albert and Emma Dowling Beckham on February 3,1925. She was a graduate of Wicksburg High School and attended Bob Jones University. She was an accomplished singer, always willing to present the gospel in music. Hildria is preceded in death by her siblings: Maudie Bell (Dewey) Scarborough, Ernestine (Foster) Clark, Billy (Margaret) Beckham, and an infant brother Waitus. She is survived by her sister-in law; Margaret Beckham, Wicksburg, Alabama; nieces: Barbara Baird, Montgomery, Alabama, Carol (Gary) Cox, Wicksburg, Alabama; nephew Kent Beckham, Wicksburg, Alabama; cousins: Melinda Watkins, Ned Driggers, both of Dothan, Alabama; and a very special friend: Keith Yarborough, Atlanta, Georgia. Funeral services will be held on Saturday June 21st at 11:00 AM (EST) at First Alliance Church with Rev. Kevin Goins officiating. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the First Alliance Church general fund or the great commission fund, 2512 North Druid Hills Road, Atlanta, Georgia 30329. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Graveside services will take place at 4:00 PM (CST) at the Pilgrim Home Baptist Church Cemetery located in Wicksburg, Alabama .A.S. Turner and Sons Funeral Home and Crematory, Decatur, Georgia.
