Howard A. Samuelson

May 21, 1920 — September 1, 2007

Mr. Howard A. Samuelson of Stone Mountain died Saturday, September 1, 2007.  He was a graduate of Northeastern University, a US Army veteran of WWII, attended Yale University, and played trombone in the Boston Pops and Boston Symphony conducted by Arthur Fiedler.  Mr. Samuelson was an electrical engineer and worked 35 years for Western Union and for the DeKalb County Water & Sewer Department for 15 years.  He is survived by his sons, Charles Samuelson of Stone Mountain and John Turner Samuelson II & his wife, Jean of Stone Mountain; brother, John Turner Samuelson & his wife, Jean of Sagamore Beach, MA; three grandchildren, Jason, Brandon & Shana; a dear friend, Macella Pittman; four nieces and one nephew.  A memorial service will be held at A. S. Turner & Sons with Bruce Brookshire officiating. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the American Heart Association. A. S. Turner & Sons
