H. Peter Giordano, aged 86, passed away peacefully on Monday November 18, 2013 in Atlanta, Georgia. He was born in Philadelphia on June 30, 1927 to the late Dr. Anthony S. and Mary (Spohn) Giordano. He is survived by his beloved wife of 59 years, Elizabeth (Stroud) Giordano, daughters Elizabeth (Giordano) Sullivan of Atlanta and Gay Giordano of New York City, sons-in-law James H. Sullivan Jr. and Johannes Weinkirn, granddaughter Audrey E. Sullivan, and many neices and nephews. He was pre-deceased by his son Mark Peter, sister Kathryn M. Kelly, and brother Anthony S. Giordano. Mr. Giordano graduated from St. Joseph's University in Philadelphia. His career in international banking began with Central Penn National Bank in Philadelphia, and then with Northwest International Bank in New York City, and Butler's International Bank in Nassau, Bahamas. Upon retirement in 1992 from the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, Mr. and Mrs. Giordano moved to Catskill, New York, where they lived for nineteen years before moving to Atlanta two years ago to be near family. Services will be held in Atlanta, with a graveside burial in Philadelphia.
