Mr. Howard R. Smallwood, age 69 of Atlanta, died Sunday, September 18, 2011. Mr. Smallwood was retired from GA Tech and was an avid golfer, fisherman and hunter. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Margaret Smallwood; sons, Bobby and wife, Amanda Smallwood and Scott Smallwood; grandchildren, Austin, Michael and Ty; sisters-in-law, Elizabeth Waters and Joyce Smallwood; brother-in-law, Ralph Roberson; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services will be held in the chapel of A. S. Turner and Sons at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, September 20th. The family will receive friends today (Monday) from 4 to 8 PM at A. S. Turner and Sons.
