Hubert Buice

Hubert Buice, 94, went home to be with the Lord April 4, 2011. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, uncle and friend. He is survived by his wife Doris Buice of 73 years, daughter Betty Glazener, granddaughter Stephanie Randall (George), grandsons Mark and Adam (Teresa) Glazener, great grandsons Andrew (Stephanie), Matthew and Christopher Randall and Dylan Glazener. He was born in Stone Mountain, GA, lived in Avondale Estates, GA for fifty years where he owned a shoe repair business until retirement. He was a master carver of beautiful birds and a great story-teller. He and his wife Doris have spent the last five years of their lives living with their daughter in Chattanooga, TN. For many years he was a faithful member, deacon and Sunday School teacher at Memorial Lighthouse Baptist Church, Stone Mountain. The family will receive family and friends Thursday, April 7, from 6 to 8pm and also Friday, April 8, from 9 to 11am before the service at Turner Funeral Home, Decatur GA. Service will be Friday, April 8, 11am at the Turner Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Norris Nash and Bishop Richard Coleman officiating. Burial will be at Floral Hills Cemetery, Lawrenceville Highway Tucker GA. Memorial contributions may be made to HOSPICE of Chattanooga.
