Huey Pierce Long Banister

Mr. Huey P.L. Banister, age 74, of Tucker died Saturday, April 30, 2005.  He retired from Royal Oldsmobile as a service advisor after 25 years of service.  Mr. Banister is survived by his wife, Betty Geiger Banister of Tucker, GA; his children, Carol Bush of Greenwood, SC, Barry Banister of Greenville, SC; two great granddaughters; one great great-granddaughter; sister, Frieda Forkner St. John of Decatur, GA; brothers, W.E. (Buddy) Banister of Stockbridge, GA, John Lindsey Banister of Thomasville, GA; a number of nieces and nephews; and a host of friends. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 3rd in the chapel of A. S. Turner & Sons with Dr.  J. Truett Gannon and Dr. Bob Browning officiating.  Graveside services will be held Wednesday, May 4th at 2:00 p.m. at Buford Grove Baptist Church in Hilliard, FL with Dr. Chuck Motes officiating. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice Atlanta, 1244 Park Vista Dr., Atlanta, GA  30319 or to the Smoke Rise Baptist Church, 5901 Hugh Howell Rd., Stone Mountain, GA  30087.  The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. Monday at A. S. Turner & Sons.
