Hugo Juan Gomez

Hugo Juan Gómez, 81, of Decatur passed away Friday September 12, 2014 surrounded by his family. He was born on October 1, 1932 to Juan Gómez and Rogelia Iglesias in Buenos Aires, Argentina. He was a graduate of the University of Buenos Aires Faculty of Economic Sciences. Hugo immigrated to the United States in 1963 where he met and married his wife and fellow Argentine, Lilia in New York. In 1965 he joined The Coca-Cola Export Corporation as Senior Accountant. He continued to work for The Coca-Cola Company for over 30 years in New York, Atlanta, Puerto Rico, Panama, Egypt, South Africa, Greece, Germany, Brazil, and Argentina becoming a VP of Finance until his retirement in 1996. Hugo is survived by his wife of 50 years, Lilia Adriana Deluchi; his daughters, Sabrina Andrea and husband Michael Scott, and Daniela Alba and her partner, Dennis Snow; and grandchild, Hugo Alan Scott.
