Ilse Clara Gropp

Ilse Clara Gropp, age 68, of Atlanta, GA, passed peacefully Thursday, April 19, 2007 while surrounded by family at Fountainview Care Facility. She was born on December 29, 1938 in Munich, Germany. Her parents, Margarete and Anton Bittl preceded her in death. She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Wolfgang Gropp; brother, Helmut Bittl; son, Michael Gropp and fiancé Patti Donehoo; son and daughter-in-law, Anthony and Jennifer Gropp. She was a dedicated loving Mother, and a cherished wife. She contributed in countless ways to running the family restaurant for over 30 years. She loved playing tennis, baking German specialties for family and friends and traveling. In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 1925 Century Blvd. NE, Suite 10, Atlanta, GA 30345-3315. A memorial service will be held Wednesday, April 25, 2007 at 4 PM in the chapel of A.S. Turner & Sons (404)292-1551.
