Imogene (Mo) Blair of Stone Mountain died Wednesday, June 15, 2005. In 1962, she broke through the ranks of secretary to become the first real estate saleswoman to become a member of the coveted Million Dollar Club of the Atlanta Real Estate Board. She was a commercial broker for Connett and Sertich (C & S Realty) for 50 years. She helped develop a lot of downtown Atlanta and was instrumental in developing the Civic Center. Miss Blair managed the Henry Grady Building, Loew's Grand, Town & Country, and developed and sold property for Lofts on Walker Street. She played semi pro softball for Lorlei Ladies, and the Tomboys and coached youth softball and was an avid bowler. She also enjoyed playing golf and was looking forward to retiring at Sun City Center, FL. Mo worked with the Clarkston Civic Association and the Democratic Party. She was the first woman to get the Playboy Bunny Key, because of her development of the Playboy Club in Atlanta. She was a die hard Democrat and avid GA. Tech fan. President John F. Kennedy was her hero. Miss Blair was preceded in death by her father, Arlie Calhoun Blair, mother, Thelma Hill Blair, nephew "Little Pete" Blair and her beloved dog, Waffle and special "Buddy" Mr. Tom Smith. She is survived by her brother, Pete Blair and wife, Sara; sisters, Glennis Mitchell and Pat Blair and partner, Lynn Medlin; nieces and nephews, Vicki and Sammy Brookshire, Sheri Blair and partner, Kim Adams, Chris and Dana Blair; great niece and nephews, Cori Hembree and husband, Jeremy, Justin Maddox, Hunter and Rachel Blair; great-great niece, Alexandria Hembree; and a host of extended family and friends. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, June 18th in the chapel of A. S. Turner & Sons. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. Friday at A. S. Turner & Sons.
