Iola Abee Daniel

October 3, 1926 — August 24, 2017

Iola Abee Daniel, 90 years young, of Atlanta, beloved wife and mother, grandmother and great grandmother passed away Thursday, August 24, 2017. Born on October 3, 1926, in Dahlonega, GA she was the daughter of the late Fred Monroe and Emma Barrett Abee. As the oldest daughter of 13 children, Iola moved to Atlanta and spent her career of 34 years with Western Electric as a design and repair engineer.

Iola is survived by three sons, Douglas A. Daniel and his wife, Edith, Stanley A. Daniel, and Keith A. Daniel and his wife Mary Beth; eight grandchildren, Parrish Daniel, Colin Daniel, Megan Levy, Lindsay Wegener, Isabelle Daniel, Jacquelyn Daniel, Wes Bradshaw and Courtney Bradshaw; eight great grandchildren; brothers Eli Abee, Herbert Abee, and sister Bonnell Abee Robinson, and many more loving family members and friends.

In addition to her parents, Iola was preceded in death by her husband, Jackson Barron Daniel, Sr.; and sons, Michael Steven Daniel, Jackson Barron Daniel, Jr., as well as 9 siblings.

Memorial Services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, August 27, at Northeast Baptist Church, 4046 Chamblee Tucker Road Tucker, GA with interment at Melwood Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that you make a contribution to the Alzheimer’s Association or Northeast Baptist Church.
