Iris Ann Magid

Iris Fensom Magid, 92, of Atlanta, passed away on November 12th 2016. She was born June 21, l924 in London England. She met her husband Malcolm J. Magid, an American bomber pilot, during World War II. They were married in London near the end of the war. She came to the United States with her husband after the war and settled in Brookhaven. They were married for 67 years until his death in 2012. She was a beautiful woman inside and out whose greatest joy in life was her family. She will be deeply missed by them all. She was preceded in death by her parents, Frederick and Annie Fensom. She is survived by her sister, Joan Barton; daughter Cheryl Magid Swartz (Bruce); sons, Dr. Kevin F. Magid (Ofelia) and Jonathan D. Magid (Deborah); grandchildren, Jon Magid (Lisa) , Sabine Flynn, David Magid (Asli), Ryan Magid (Meghan), Stefanie Magid Spivey (Trey), and Mackenzie Magid; great grandchildren, Kevin Magid, Alex Magid, Garrett Magid, Jon Magid, Sophia Spivey, Fiona Magid, and Will Spivey. The funeral service will be at Saint Martin in the Fields Episcopal Church, 3110 Ashford Dunwoody Rd. NE Brookhaven Ga. 303l9 on Saturday November 19, 2016 at ll:00 A.M. A reception will follow in the church hall. She will be buried beside her husband in a private ceremony at the Georgia National Cemetery in Canton Ga. A.S. Turner & Sons Funeral Home and Crematory.
