Irving Lee Boone

August 18, 1929 — April 6, 2016

Irving Lee Boone, 86, died April 6, 2016. A native of Norfolk, VA, long time resident of Markham, IL, he was the son of the late Anderson and Lizzie Boone. Mr. Boone was a U. S. Navy Veteran and was retired from 30 years in US Postal Service. He was a man with a passion for God, loved and cared for his family and friends dearly, spent 35 years teaching Sunday School, and was a church deacon.

Survivors include his wife, Gwendolyn Boone; two daughters, Karen Boone and Debra Boone Lunda; son, Michael Boone; brother, Rudolph V. Boone Sr.; sister, Blanche Boone; and three grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be 10 AM Thursday in the chapel at A. S. Turner and Sons Funeral Home. Interment will be at 2:30 PM Thursday at Georgia National Cemetery, Canton, GA. The family will receive friends 5:00 - 7:00 PM Wednesday at the funeral home.
