Ivalee Meadows

Mrs. Ivalee Childers Meadows, 84, went home to be with the Lord on November 27, 2013. Mrs. Meadows was retired from WXIA Television, where she was the Human Resources Director. She was preceded in death by her father and mother, William Scott Childers and Kathleen Childers Garnto; and two sisters, Sara Childers Williamson and Ruby Childers Waites. Mrs. Meadows is survived by her daughter, Lea Ann Meadows of Atlanta; two nieces, Kathy Williamson Neal of Thomson and Donna Waites Terrill of Macon; three great nieces, Sara Neal Lokey of Augusta and Rachel and Rebecca Terrill of Macon; and one great-great niece, Morgan Lokey of Augusta. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 30th at 10:00 AM in the chapel of A. S. Turner and Sons. Interment will follow at Dublin Memorial Gardens, Dublin, GA. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to Weinstein Hospice, 3150 Howell Mill Rd. NW, Atlanta, GA 30327 or Children's Healthcare of Atlanta, 1600 Tullie Circle, Atlanta, GA 30329. The family will receive friends on Friday evening, November 29th from 6-8 PM at A. S. Turner and Sons Funeral Home and Crematory, 2773 N. Decatur Rd., Decatur, GA.
