Jack Irwin Vankeuren

Now at rest in mind and body, Jack Van Keuren, 89, passes away Sunday October 5, 2014. Jack served his country in WW II and Korea, receiving the Bronze Star. He retired as Ass't Fire Chief, Selfridge AFB, Mt. Clemens, MI. Jack is preceded in death by Joyce, his wife of 51 years. Jack is survived by his Atlanta family: son Gary, his wife Marylee and grandchildren Erica, Zeke and Gretchen; daughter Kelsey Shugar, spouse Tom and grandchildren Alyssa, Ashley and Austin, Lake Orion, MI; son Eric, spouse Donna and grandchildren Jenna and Jessica, Manahawkin, NJ; and son Kirk Van Keuren, Garfield, NJ. Funeral Service will be Thursday, October 9, at 2:00 pm in the chapel of A. S. Turner and Sons. Burial will be Saturday, October 11, 2014 at 11:00 am at Woodlawn Cemetery, Bronx, NY where he will lay forever next to Joyce. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services at A.S. Turner and Sons Funeral Home and Crematory.
