Mr. James Burnett Gibb, Jr. died Wednesday, November 12, 2008. He was a member of Decatur First United Methodist Church and the Fellowship Class. He was also a member of American Legion and had been a longtime volunteer with the DeKalb Medical Center. Mr. Gibb was preceded in death by his wife Helen Waters Gibb; son, James Gibb III; and granddaughter, Helen Elizabeth Wilson.. He is survived by daughters and son-in-law, Joanne and David Wilson of Decatur, Patricia Watson of Doraville; son, Kyle Gibb of Decatur; sisters, Ede Baldridge of Wilmington, NC, Kempie McKenna of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held in the chapel of A. S. Turner & Sons at 3 p.m. Saturday, November 15th, Dr. Bevel Jones officiating. Burial will follow at Floral Hills Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday at A. S. Turner & Sons.
