David Foulks, son of Mary Ann Foulks and Jim Foulks, passed away on November 5, 2005. The cause of death was leukemia. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his grandmothers, Martha Ann Parker of Killen, Alabama, and Margaret Dean Foulks of Florence, Alabama. He leaves behind many special friends, aunts, uncles and cousins, and his devoted caregiver and teacher, Miriam McKibben. He was predeceased by his grandfathers, William B. Parker and George W. Foulks. David had Down Syndrome. He was a graduate of Druid Hills High School and worked at DeKalb Enterprises and Hands for Hire. He was active in Special Olympics and attended Camp Sky Ranch for many years. He brought much love, joy and wisdom to all who knew him. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 8, at 2:30 pm at St. Bartholomew's Episcopal Church. The Very Rev. Claiborne Jones will officiate. The friends will have an opportunity to visit with the family after the service at the church. Interment will be at Floral Hills Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his memory to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 9:00 pm Monday evening at A. S. Turner & Sons.
