James David Bowling ("Jim") of Tucker, Georgia passed away on Monday September 2, 2019 at the age of 67. Jim was born in 1952 in Selma, Alabama. He was the son of John
David Bowling and the late Martha Ellen Bowling.
Jim attended college at Jacksonville State University in Jacksonville, Alabama and pursued a career in information technology. As a data systems specialist and computer programmer, Jim configured computational systems for NASA, The Army Missile Command, Hertz Corporation, and the Georgia Technology Authority, from where he retired in 2010.
Jim was a passionate artist and accomplished musician, guitarist, keyboardist, composer, and photographer. His work traversed numerous musical genres from rock, blues to new
age and electronic music.
Jim is survived by his wife, Elaine Loyd, formerly of Villa Rica, GA; his son, Jess of Decatur, GA; his father, John, his sister,Julie, his sister and brother-in-law, Sherri and Jimmy Hicks,all of Macon, GA and cousins, niece, and nephews.
There will be a memorial service on October 19, 2019 at 1:00pm in the A.S. Turner
