James Lawrence (Jim) Brady

James Lawrence "Jim" Brady, 60, of Lawrenceville, died Thursday, August 11, 2011 at Gwinnett Medical Center. Born October 7, 1950 in Florida to James M. and Bjørg Brady, Jim is survived by his parents, brother, Tom Brady, his three daughters, Anna Brady Elko, Mary Brady Srinivas, and Amy Brady DePriest, as well as his three granddaughters Caitlin, Olivia, and Sati. Jim is predeceased by his beloved wife Lynne Fowlkes Brady, who died November 17, 2004. Jim graduated from Decatur HS and Emory University, followed by the Lutheran Theological Seminary. He spent most of his career in service to the Lutheran Church, including 3 years of mission work in Malaysia. A memorial service will be held at A.S. Turner & Sons, Decatur, on Sunday evening, August 14, 2011 at 5:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Susan G. Komen for the Cure, Greater Atlanta Chapter.
