James Marion Mccorkle

Mr. James Marion McCorkle, Jr., 70, of Stone Mountain died Friday, April 11, 2014. Jim was a life- long resident of DeKalb County and was the former co-owner of Acme Carpet and Drapery Cleaning Co. of Decatur. He is survived by his former wife, Barbara McCorkle of Avondale Estates, GA, his daughter Lisa DeCelles and husband Steve, of Flowery Branch, GA, two sisters, Anne Joyner and husband, Greg, of Peachtree City, GA, and Jan Espy and husband Bob, of Stone Mountain, GA, three grandchildren, Kathleen Gifford and husband Chris, of Sandy Springs, GA, Caroline DeCelles of Denver, CO, and Anne DeCelles of Johns Creek, GA, and one great granddaughter, Mary Kelly Gifford of Sandy Springs, GA, several cousins, nieces, nephews and many dear friends. James was preceded in death by his son, James Clifford McCorkle, and his father James Marion McCorkle, Sr., and mother, Annis McCorkle of Decatur. A visitation for family and friends is scheduled from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 16 at the funeral home, followed by burial services at 2 p.m. at Decatur Cemetery.In lieu of flowers please send donations to their local Humane Society.
