James( Jim) Bruce Moore, 94, passed away on February 25, 2025. He was born in Altamont, Kansas to Earl and Mildred (Lombard) Moore.
After graduating from Labatt High School, he joined the marines, serving for four years in San Diego, Japan and the Korean conflict. Jim continued to value his time in the marines for the rest of his life.
While raising his family in Stone Mountain, Ga, Jim enjoyed camping and being involved with the Boy Scouts of America. Upon his retirement from his career as an auto body mechanic, Jim and his wife of 72 years, Mary Anne, relocated to Lake Wales, Fl, where they lived the last three decades. Jim enjoyed hunting, gun sports, mechanical work and traveling the country with Mary Anne.
Jim entered into a relationship with his savior, Jesus, during his retirement years and church attendance was very important to him until his death.
Jim is survived by his wife Mary Anne, his three children Alan (Dawn) Moore, Jerry Moore, and Kay (Jeff) Gaither as well as five grandchildren, Elizabeth (Jeff), Stephanie (Cole), Joe, Ellen and Katherine (Matt) and four great grandchildren.
