James Palma Hamilton Jr, 89 passed away peacefully at the Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Atlanta, Georgia, on February 7, 2015 following a short illness. He was born on September 9, 1925 in Clearwater Florida and lived his adult life in Atlanta Georgia.He worked for many years in the real estate division at the law firm of Hansell, Post, Brandon and Dorsey and later for the law firm of McCalla and Raymer. He is a WWII and Korean War veteran and was involved in many civic organizations including Civitan, the Masonic Order, and his local church. He loved his family and was surrounded by them at the time of his death. He is pre-deceased by his wife, Betty and his brother Howard Hamilton. He is survived by his three daughters, Linda, Jenny, and Julie Hamilton and brother, Jay Hamilton. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, February 12, 2015 at 2:00 PM in the chapel of A.S. Turner and Sons with Fr. Paul Burke officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Our Lady Of Perpetual Help or Weinstein Hospice. Visitation will be on Wednesday, February 11th, from 6-8 PM at A.S. Turner Funeral Home and Crematory.
