James Pete Hoffman

Mr. James Pete Hoffman, age 90, of Stone Mountain, Georgia, passed away Sunday, February 22, at Peachtree Christian Hospice. Pete was a member of Tucker Christian Church where he served as an elder. He retired after 37 years with Norfolk Southern Railroad. He was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. H.A. Hoffman of Salisbury, North Carolina, and is survived by his wife, Mrs. Lorrie Musseau Hoffman; Daughters, Candy Payton and Kathy Hoffman; step-daughters, Nancy Hudgins and Judy Wilson; Sons, J.P. Hoffman, Jr. and Eric Hoffman; Step-son, Jimmy Wilson; 17 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. He is also survived by siblings, Joyce Moorefield of Salisbury, Eleanor Balestrino of Salisbury, Charles "Al" Hoffman of Salisbury, Samuel L. Hoffman of Salisbury and Patricia H. Harris of Salisbury. Funeral services will be held on February 25, 2pm at Tucker Christian Church with Jerry Henry and Paul Ward officiating. Internment, Floral Hills Memorial Gardens, Tucker Georgia. The family will receive friends from 4 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, February 24, at A.S. Turner & Sons Funeral Home and Crematory, Decatur, Georgia.
