He is survived by his wife of 21 years, Geraldine P. Gatton, of Vienna, VA, and a sister, Cynthia R. Gatton, of Atlanta, GA, and many nieces and nephews. Randy was born in Columbus, Ohio, and graduated from Guilford High School in Rockford, Illinois. A 1980 graduate of Georgia Tech in electrical engineering, Randy retired from ExxonMobil Corporation in January this year after 31 years of service including assignments in Texas, New Jersey, Brussels, Belgium, and ExxonMobil headquarters in Fairfax, Virginia.
