James Ray Brown

Mr. James Ray Brown, 87, of Blairsville, Georgia died Wednesday, February 3, 2010.  He was a retired mail carrier with the United States Postal Service. Mr. Brown was a former member of Avondale Alliance Church.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Lillie Ruth Griswell Brown and son, Phillip Ray Brown.  Mr. Brown is survived by his daughter, Dana Sharon Allen and her husband Steve; grandson, Shannon Steven Allen; and granddaughter, Sandy Erin Wilson and her husband, Bradley.  Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 6 at 3:00 P.M. in the chapel of A. S. Turner & Sons with Rev. Jerry Brown officiating.  Interment Floral Hills Memory Gardens.  The family will receive friends from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Friday and from 2:00 P.M. until 3:00 P.M. Saturday at A. S. Turner & Sons.
