James Steven Lutz passed away on November 28, 2007 after a courageous three year battle with brain cancer. Raised in Dearborn, Michigan, he was an engineer and consultant through several prestigious companies. His talents were varied, from constructing a waterfall in his backyard to creating an "N" scale model train replica of downtown Dearborn in the 1950's. His six siblings always called on him to be the creative one to fix anything from a broken garage door to a stubborn computer. He spent his spare time one summer building a wall in a brother's backyard. He is survived by his wife, Kathleen Neal; daughter Lori Lutz Lebson; son-in-law, Josh Lebson of Tampa; step-son, William Neal; and grand daughter, Lily Neal of Atlanta. His siblings include: Donald Lutz of Houston, Mary Lutz Proctor of Madison, WI, Dr. Larry Lutz of Atlanta, Yvonne Lutz Powel of Great Falls, VA, Brian Lutz of Bethesda, MD, and Dr. Steven Lutz of Findley, OH; and nine nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his wife's adopted daughter, Anne Isenhower; her husband, Matt Podowitz; and grandson, Max Podowitz of Atlanta. He is remembered by a large circle off friends, who will always treasure his sense of humor, his generosity and his impressive knowledge. A memorial service will be held at Druid Hills United Methodist Church at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, December 1, 2007 a reception will follow.
