James Thomas Capps

Mr. James T. "Jim" Capps, 76, of Stone Mountain died Thursday, September 16, 2010. Jim retired 22 years ago from AT&T as a Senior Transmission Engineer with 37 years of service. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Rosa Capps; daughters, Katherine Capps of Conyers, Marilyn Capps of St. Simons Island; sisters, Jane Capps of Blythevlle, AR, and Louise Capps of Jackson, MS. Memorial services will be held Wednesday September 22, 2010 at 2:00 P.M. in the chapel of A. S. Turner & Sons with Rev. Clay Bowden officiating. Being an avid gardener, the family requests that memorials be made in memory of Jim Capps to the Garden Club of Georgia Scholarship Fund, 244 Satilla Dr., Brunswick, GA 31523. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at A. S. Turner & Sons.
