James Thomas Flynt

On Thursday, December 26th 2019, James Thomas (Tom) Flynt, father, grandfather and brother, passed away peacefully at the age of 77 years old in Decatur, GA. Born on November 6th, 1942 in Ocilla, Georgia, he was the son of the late James Thomas Handley and Alice Smith Handley. He was later adopted by the late William Flynt and Helen Flynt. He was preceded in death by his biological brother, Wilburn D. Handley and his brother by adoption, William Flynt. Tom will be remembered by his sons Michael Flynt and his wife Crystie of Lawrenceville, GA, Adrian Flynt and his partner Amanda Whiting of Atlanta, GA, and grandchildren, Brandon and Lauren Flynt. He is also survived by his siblings, Linda H. Jernigan, Bobby Handley, Brenda H. Bowen, Honey H. Kendrick, Sheila H. Massey and Nita Flynt Joiner. Tom will also be forever remembered by his numerous extended family members and dear friends, many of which live or work at Decatur Christian Towers.
