Jamie E Hay Jr., 69, of Chamblee received his heavenly call on Tuesday, June 14th, 2016. Friends and family knew him as Butch. He is survived by his beloved wife, Caroline, two daughters Jennifer Norris (Dwayne) and Jamie Hay (Michael Green), 4 treasured grandsons- Tristan, Trent, Taydan and Tyler Norris, mother Mildred Hay, sister Cathy Toney (Clenton), nephew Nick Toney (Jenny) and great niece Kayla Toney. He is preceded by his father, Jamie E. Hay Sr. He is also dearly loved by many cousins. Butch was born August 15, 1946 and raised in Decatur, Georgia. He graduated from Druid Hills High School. He served in the United States Army from 1966 to 1968. After getting married, Butch and Caroline lived in Hampton, Va. and later returned to Atlanta. He was dedicated to his years as Vice President in mortgage banking ending his career as Senior Project Manager at the Housing of Urban Development (HUD) from 1996 – 2015. Butch was an adored husband, father and grandfather. He loved music, movies and sports, especially his Georgia Bulldogs. Known best for his sense of humor and zest for life, Butch would want us to smile, laugh and remember the good times we all shared. He attended Christ the Lord Lutheran Church in Lawrenceville. Visitation will be at A.S Turner and Sons on Friday, June 17th from 2:00 – 3:00. The service will begin in the chapel at 3:00 officiated by Pastor Julie Ehlers-King.
