Jane Anne Was Cantrell, age 91 of Atlanta died peacefully on January 12, 2013. She was preceded in death by her husband, James E. Cantrell, M.D. and son, David Hall Cantrell and is survived by daughters, Andrea Cantrell Jones and Mary Alice Cantrell of Brookhaven, GA, Constance H. Cantrell Goldman (and husband, Steven Goldman) of Bethesda, MD; son, James E. Cantrell, Jr. M.D. (and wife, Crispin Green Cantrell) of Birmingham, AL; grandchildren, Danielle Darby, Paul and Wyatt Jones, Hall and Jack Cantrell, Charlotte, David, and Grace Goldman; great grandson, Sawyer Jones; sister, Helen Franco; sister-in-law, Marge Was. Graveside services will be held on Thursday, January 17th at 1:00 pm at Riverside Oakview Cemetery in Albany, GA. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The St. Joseph's Mercy Foundation, 1100 Johnson Ferry Rd., Suite LL80, Atlanta GA 30342. The family will receive friends on Wednesday evening from 6 - 8 pm at A. S. Turner and Sons Funeral Home and Crematory, Decatur, GA.
