Jane Lee Wilson

Jane Lee Wilson of Atlanta passed away on August 16. She is survived by children Lee Wilson and husband Howard Gold, Ben Wilson, Beth Wilson, and grandchildren Michael and Lauren Gold. She is predeceased in death by her loving and devoted husband of 64 years, Roger C. Wilson. Mrs. Wilson was born in Jackson, MS on January 13, 1928. Growing up she lived in Alabama, Mississippi, and Seattle, WA. She attended college at Judson College, University of Alabama, and University of Mississippi before graduating from Mary Washington College of the University of Virginia. She was a member of the Delta Gamma sorority. Mrs. Wilson was an avid sports fan and never missed an opportunity to watch her beloved Ole Miss. Mrs. Wilson was an accomplished bridge player and an avid reader, movie goer, and golfer. She had a quick wit and never met a stranger. She and her husband co-owned a special risk insurance brokerage, where she worked for many years. Mrs. Wilson had a passion for travel. She enjoyed numerous trips to Europe, Canada, and Mexico with her husband and family. She relished road trips, and took many trips throughout the United States. She loved the mountains of North Carolina and the beach, having owned homes in Asheville, NC and Surfside Beach, SC. She celebrated her 60th wedding anniversary with her husband and daughters in Ireland. A memorial service will be held at A.S. Turner & Sons on August 20 at 11:00 a.m. Visitation is at 10:00 a.m.
