Janet Marie Meerman

Janet Meerman, age 70, of Decatur died Tuesday, January 3, 2017. She was preceded in death by her husband, William "Bill" Meerman and is survived by daughters, Ronda (and Robert) Oglesby of Hernando, FL, Leslie Erickson (and Jim Cantrell) of Decatur, GA and Suree Foose of Virginia Beach, VA; sister, Teresa (and Steve) Miller; 6 grandchildren; 2 nieces and 1 nephew. Janet spent her final months at home with the help of Hospice Atlanta. We want to thank and honor the dedicated nurses, doctors and staff for making that possible. An extra special thank you to case manager/nurse/angel, Kathy Carter. A funeral service will be held at 3:00 pm on Saturday, January 7th in the chapel of Decatur Presbyterian Church, 205 Sycamore Street, Decatur, GA 30030. In lieu of, or in addition to flowers, donations may be made to Hospice Atlanta through www.vnhs.org/donatenow. Please designate Hospice Atlanta on the donation form. The family will receive friends on Friday, January 6th from 6 to 8 pm, with a prayer service at 7 pm, at A.S. Turner and Sons Funeral Home and Crematory.
