Janis W Chapman

Janice Wheless Chapman, 68, of Atlanta passed away on Thursday December 25, 2014. A Clarke County native she was preceded in death by her husband, William C. Chapman; parents, Walter and Franie Fouts Wheless; and her brothers, Bruce and Michael Wheless. She graduated from Avondale High School, Class of 1963 and was employed with Williams Brothers Lumber Co, Clue Circle and LaFarge before retiring. She is survived by her brother, James Robert Wheless of Gainesville; sister, Vicki Wheless Nicholson and her husband, Alfred of Jefferson; sister in law, Shelia Wheless of Lilburn. Also surviving are several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles. Special friends, Tom and Robin Hairston, Tommy, Jr and Sherry; God-daughter, Leslie Jacoby and her son, Tommy. Funeral service will be held at 12:00 Noon on Saturday, December 27, 2014 in the chapel of A. S. Turner and Sons with interment to follow in Resthaven Garden of Memories. The family will receive friends on Saturday, December 27th from 10:00am to 12:00pm at A. S. Turner and Sons Funeral Home and Crematory.
