On Christmas morning, December 25th, 2022, Jason Charles Tyler, passed away at age twenty-five. He is survived by his mother Regine Tyler and sister Sonia Tyler. Jason Tyler was born in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia and was considered the family’s “bonus” baby. In the Tyler family, Jason was the sun, and his family circled around him like the planets. Jason was a quiet and introspective child who loved to be around people, but was quite shy. Jason carried the curiosity of his family and loved to learn and always excelled in school.
Jason was going to pre-school in Brooklyn, NY when 9-11 happened and moved to Georgia two weeks after. He attended Evandsale Elementary School, Henderson Middle School, and graduated from Lakeside High School in 2017 with a 3.9 GPA. Just after his 14th birthday, Jason experienced a spontaneous brain hemorrhage which left him blind, with limited movement. While in his coma he grew a whole foot and towered over his family at 6’4”. Although he lived a difficult life and needed a lot of care, he carried it with grace and joy and never complained. He never gave up hope in walking and seeing again and strived for a great life. He was a junior at Georgia State University working on getting a History degree. He spent a lot of time studying with his family, strengthening his body with nutritious food, watching anime, and listening to his favorite podcasts about every topic under the sun. Jason laughed deeply and often and had a kind spirit - one that also inspired a whole community of angels to join their family in orbiting around him to help him succeed. Jason was also a loving uncle that encouraged and loved on his nieces and nephew. He was immensely proud of their accomplishments and rarely missed any of their performances. His nephew, Alaric, carries his name and they spent a lot of time watching crazy cartoons and anime together. Jason was also deeply spiritual and prayed and meditated with seriousness and determination since he was a child. Although his sister had him around many celebrities, he was always more drawn to spiritual leaders and was interested in justice for all. He loved to say he was a feminist and emphasized the need for all people to get along. He was so easy to care for as he wanted to please all the people around him. His deep bombastic voice loved to sing in the shower, do Michael Jackson ad libs, share his immense amount of random knowledge, and tease people. His huge smile and laughter that would freeze in mid laugh, will forever be missed.
