Jean Buck Wilson, 83, of Atlanta, Georgia, passed away peacefully on Monday June 10, 2013.Jean, the daughter of the late Thomas Bryant Buck, Sr. and Helen Dodd Buck, was born in Columbus, Georgia on March 7, 1930. She graduated from Columbus High School, and attended Shorter College prior to receiving her Bachelor's Degree from Auburn University. Jean was married to Watson Eugene (Gene) Wilson, Sr. for 49 years prior to his death in 2005. Jean was a homemaker and mother to their two sons. She was a long-standing member of Briarlake Baptist Church in Decatur. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, decorating, trips to the beach, and reading. Jean is survived by her two sons, Watson E. (Gene) Wilson, Jr. and his wife, Tish, and Stephen K. Wilson and his wife, Katy; grandsons Robert Faulkner Wilson and Geoffrey Walker Wilson; and granddaughter Elizabeth Marie Wilson. She is also survived by her twin sister Jane Buck and her brother William C. Buck, and his wife, Erie Sue. She was preceded in death by her husband, Watson Eugene (Gene) Wilson, Sr.; her sisters Brownie Buck Elliott and Helen Buck Bergquist; and her brothers Harold D. Buck and Thomas B. Buck, Jr. Visitations will be held at A.S. Turner and Sons in Decatur, Georgia on Thursday, June 13, 2013 from 4 to 7 p.m. and at Striffler-Hamby in Columbus, Georgia on Friday, June 14, 2013 from 10 a.m. to 12 noon. The funeral service will be held graveside at 12 noon at Park Hill Cemetery in Columbus, Georgia on June 14, 2013. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to Briarlake Baptist Church in Decatur, Georgia or First Baptist Church in Columbus, Georgia. A. S. Turner and Sons Funeral Home and Crematory.
