Jean T. Armour

Jean T. Armour, 85, of Suwanee, passed away Wednesday, May 11, 2016. Mrs. Armour was a member of Sugar Hill United Methodist Church. She also considered Avondale First Baptist Church her "Forever Church". Jean served as a Sunday school teacher for many years. She was also involved in the bus ministry and sang in the choir. In addition to work in the church, Mrs. Armour was a member of The Golden Agers and Buford Womens Club. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who loved life. Mrs. Armour was preceded in death by her husband, Charles "Pat" Armour Jr. and brother, Bill Turner. Jean is survived by her sons, Michael David Armour (Jerrie) and Charles Phillip Armour (Jamie); daughter, Patti Armour DuMestre; grandchildren, Greg Swinks (Debbie), Amanda Yonts (Danny), Carrie Duracher (Farris), Carol Stephens (Nate), Matthew Hilley (Sunday), Megan Armour, Anne Armour and C. J. Armour; and 8 great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held in the chapel of A. S. Turner and Sons on Sunday, May 15, 2016 at 3 PM. The family will receive friends from 2PM until 3PM at the funeral home. There will be a private inurnment on Monday at Oakland Cemetery. A. S. Turner and Sons Funeral Home and Crematory.
