Jeanette Hurd Stewart

Jeanette Hurd Stewart, 87, died August 21, 2011 due to complications from cancer. A beloved Mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend, passed away at Park Springs in Stone Mountain. She was the last living child of six, born in Greenville, South Carolina to the late Mr. & Mrs. Robert W Hurd. She moved to Atlanta, worked for the war effort and met her sole mate, a marriage and partnership that lasted over 52 years. She worked over 30 years as a territory manager for Rexnord until her retirement. She is predeceased by her husband, Donald B. Stewart Sr., a WWII Navy veteran and engineer, three sisters and two brothers. She is survived by two sons, Donald B. Stewart Jr. and Ray W. Stewart, both of Atlanta. She will be remembered for her sweet disposition and wonderful sense of humor. Visitation Wednesday, August 24, from 10 am-12 pm. A private graveside service to follow at Floral Hills Memory Gardens.
